Canonical Armour & Weapons

I decided to create a "canonical" armour and weapons list for what else

I got the armour and weapons lists from AD&D 1e, 2e, D&D 3.5, 4e and 5e. (I omitted OD&D and B/X because of their inherently limited selection.) I got all item AC/damage, cost and weight from the books and put them into a master spreadsheet. If an item did not appear in more than two editions, I axed it (with some exceptions for armour given 4e's vastly different armour table in the PHB). I then found the median of all data, massaged a few numbers for consistency, kosher salt and fresh ground pepper to taste, and laid it out on a single page for PDF. I altered AC to be cumulative + bonuses rather than strictly determining AC. (Switch the + to a - if you use descending AC.) I added weapon damage types, sizes and properties from various editions of the game (but did not define the properties so they are usable within your system). If you disagree with my choices, feel free to adjust to your game and your table’s tastes.

This PDF will fill one digest size page (half an 8.5x11 sheet of paper). A version with faux paper background and a clean white version have been provided. In the future, I may do the same for adventuring gear, which will be provided as a free update.
